Privacy Notice

1. Data controller

VehicleIQ is the data controller for personal data you provide through the Service. Contact: privacy@vehicleiq.app.

2. Categories of personal data we collect

• Account data: name, email, password hash.
• Vehicle data: make, model, VIN, registration, mileage, service and fuel history, expenses, uploaded documents and photos.
• Usage data: pages viewed, features used, AI queries and their timestamps (message contents are not analysed for advertising).
• Location data: your IP address is used to determine your country so we can show prices in your local currency. We do not store precise location or track your movements.
• Payment data: handled directly by Paddle; we receive only subscription status, plan, and last-4-digit card summary — never full card details.
• Support data: messages you send us.

3. How we use it

• Provide, maintain and improve the Service.
• Generate AI answers about your vehicles (queries are sent to our AI provider under a data-processing agreement).
• Bill you and prevent fraud.
• Send transactional emails (verification, receipts, reminders you enable).
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Data sharing / recipients

• Paddle.com Market Ltd — payment processing (Merchant of Record).
• Supabase / Lovable Cloud — database, authentication and file storage.
• AI providers — process AI requests you initiate.
• Email delivery providers — transactional email.

All providers act under contract and are bound to confidentiality and security obligations.

5. International transfers

Data may be processed outside your country under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism.

6. Retention

We keep account and vehicle data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, fraud-prevention or legal reasons.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your profile settings, or by emailing privacy@vehicleiq.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS. Passwords are hashed. Row-level security restricts data access to the owning account.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to remember display preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.

10. Changes

Material changes to this notice will be communicated in-app or by email before they take effect.
